Are you looking for quality, locally and humanely raised goat meat? At Iron Quail Ranch we offer whole shares, half shares, pre configured meat boxs and selections of quality goat meat when you sign up for our meat goat share program. Our animals are purposefully raised for their quality meat. These are not dairy kid sell-offs, which will taste gamey and stringy. Our cabrito and chevon meat is tender, flavorful, and healthy.
Our animals are naturally raised. We do not inject growth hormones, use mRNA vaccines or antibiotics. Our animals forage on natural vegetation and they are fed alfalfa hay, non-GMO corn, oats, and barley which gives the meat just the right amount of fat to allow the meat to remain tender and savory.
Our share pricing is $8.75 per pound of hanging weight. The typical hanging weight of a whole share is approximately 40-65 lbs. All shares include the ability to customize your cuts.
Deposit requirements are:
$250 - Whole share
$125 - Half share.
Deposits are due upon scheduling and are non-refundable. Full payment must be made upon notification of hanging weight. It typically takes 1-2 weeks for delivery of the finished product. Our meat is aged for 5-7 days in a cold storage hanging facility. The total cost includes harvesting, aging, processing, vacuum packaging, and free delivery of your order within 1.5 hours of Tucson.
